Would it be inapropriate if I read the "Carries Diary" book?

Well I would like to read it before it comes out as a movie or show, and I have no idea whats it about, im 13 years old and does the character charlotte do anything bad Please help me! It would be very nice (I dont care if you spoil anything) and i have no idea if its appropriate for my age (I wanna know about charlotte for a reason)
